I will be in Vegas meeting with one of my best and long time clients (Japanese based.)
What is one of the best Sushi places on the strip (I know of some traditional places, but I am also bringing a few other clients want a "Western Style Experience.")
I don't find Nobu to be as good as it once was. But it is a fall back.
Thanks in advance.
(I asked for a wine recommendation about a month back -- I am a wine idiot -- on this forum and based on your recs, I got a case of Opus One -- my retiring partner LOVED it. So, you guys rock.)
Yellowtail at the Bellagio and Okada @ the Wynn are the two best sushi places on the strip. If you can venture out a bit further towards Summerlin, Naked fish is amazing.
I dont think I got a chance to have sushi when I was in vegas last...... I know in cali I had way to much! That being said I would go with anything lamboryder says, she always knows whats up!
If I get the bull, I will join the So Cal Lambo Club -- Already signed up for the Long Beach Grand Prix Exotic Cruise, so I better have this in the stable by then.
Roku is good, right next to BOA steakhouse. I like Osaka's there are a couple off the strip. More of a locals place. Not too pricey, used to eat there couple times a week.
I know this is an old thread but I cant believe you guys recommended Nobu. I ate there last year and it was mediocre at best. I can go to 5 places here in Sacramento that own it all day long.
all of them named Mikuni? I lived in sac for a few years, no good sushi outside of Mikuni.... The one downtown (J street) still has one of the best overall vibes of any restaurant I have ever eaten at!
Someone mentioned a strip club in a sushi thread so I put it together at one place. Mens Club. I have not been there in over a year. So I do not know if they are still open, been away for work too long. It is a higher end strip club with some very good food. Kind of pricey but good. I still stand for my favorite place, Osakas.
If you care to venture off strip, there's an awesome sushi restaurant in the Lowe's hotel in Lake Las Vegas. The place is called Marssa and is run by one of the more decorated sushi chef's to come from Japan. They do have everything you can think of, though the one thing they seem to be inconsistent on is the availablility of Toro. If that is something you will order, I would call ahead of time to check the availability of.
