I found that most places have a price range of lets say 2000-4000 / hour. Is that flight time hours or the whole trip time?

Looks like a blast, and I too am curious where these boarding/skiing pictures are.
after years of marquis/NetJets (which is still flawless and great)

    i talked to member PaulN
his advice: keep marquis card in your back pocket at all times, just in case

for shorter flights my wife and i found New flight Charters -they are awesome, one way flight prices are nowhere to be beat!

and i'd say typically 5k/hr is more realistic

In regards to those prices, what kind of jets do celebrities charter that cost 1mil one way that I see on TV....or are those just quoted for the sake of TV.

Too late for your trip, but I'll throw this in here.
first of all, from the photos, It looks like he was staying at the Lodge at Vail, one of many great places to stay.

Sweet basil in the photo is one of my favorites. Not too many bad places to eat but some others that make my favorites list:

    The Wild Flower
    Centre V
    Kelly Liken
    Montauk
Flame (new at the Four Seasons)
    Terra Bistro

those are all within walking distance of the Vail core.

A 20 minute drive or shuttle ride will get you to the Beaver Creek area where there are many options as well including Spago, Mirabelle and Splendido. Beano's cabin is very nice too and is only accessible by sleigh or snow cat.
