To clear things up with those that are unaware, I do not condone or 'knowingly' wear/purchase replicas. What Sal is referring to is an unfortunate situation where I basically was "taken" on a piece. However, based on several responses, I realize that most believe that I sport replicas. Believe what you want.

I dislike exageration. Constant Banter? No thread has been Ruined the thread will coninue to run and the banter lost.
if so prove it. Does banter belong in the thread, no, but it will always happen in a forum. Please keep further opinions involving me to yourself.

i made no expression of opinion about YOU. I have however seen at least 10 posts between the 2 of you having NOTHING to do with the threads, and having everything to do with whatever it is you 2 are dealing with.
Ruining the thread is certainly a matter of opinion, I'll admit, but you 2 have ruined 2 of them IMHO!!!

Seriously though, this is a cool thread. I never even thought about how different watches look in the dark until MTK posted this. :ashamed:
It's really interesting to see the different examples and a great opportunity to further my horological education.

What's even a better addition is people's photo skills; early in the thread someone posted the Rolex. Unbelievable photo as well beautiful watch with the lumes. Cali will always be classic. I've been messing with the macro button on my digital SLR, but can't seem to get as good of quality as most of the pics

even with the macro feature "ON" you need to see what the minimum focusing distance is to the subject relative to where you are, if its too close or too far it will still come out soft or blurry
most cameras dont perform well in the dark so you might want to add a bit of light somewhere to "help" the camera focus on the subject
