Thread: Who's From Portland?

I've not lived in Portland, but been there many, MANY times. I actually live near Seattle. A Pro....you'll be near the NW crew and we're a very fun bunch here! =) Oh....and Oregon has some beautiful ocean beaches you should visit if you do move there!

Yea, I've heard great things about the Oregon coast. I'm into landscape photography so can't wait to get my camera out! My wife is getting into it as well and she's just as stoked to come out there.

And there seem to be more events there than out here which surprises me so looking forward to that as well.

IMO kind of an old depressed looking city from the outside, but there are some really cool areas. I can't stand the weather however in the NW.

Rain almost every day. If you can get over that, its cool.

I'd rather have rain than snow.

Seconding all of this. I can't say I don't have a complaint or two about PDX, but honestly, I can't imagine calling anywhere else home myself either...

Lived here since '99 when came from Ukraine. Nice city, cool people and activities to do, especially outdoors! Rain is a little bit of a bitch but I'm used to it... Almost no traffics unless you decide to move real close to downtown. I'd prefer moving to Seattle area but kinda nice here too!
