Last friday the boss & the ceo decided to take the company out to Napa for lunch & wine tasting. Lunch was at the CIA (Culinary Institute of America)

Grilled hangar steak (medium), potato purée croquette (out of this world), bleu cheese sauce (too thin and not bleu-y enough) and asparagus. Drink was a mock-jito (simple syrup, splash of soda, muddled mint & lime, no alcohol), served with a rock sugar swirling stick. Yummo!

Saturday morning at my best friend's parents' place. His mom cooked up some fresh, homemade russian-style pancakes. Served with honey, Israeli-made strawberry jam/preserves, maple syrup & fresh strawberries. Out of this world insanely delicious. As blasphemous as this might be to say, but his mom makes better pancakes than my mom or my grandma, and both of them are great cooks.
