Dude, sorry I missed this awhile back.

I have done the ebay thing, the discount glasses site, and of course the boutique. Ebay you just have to do your homework for and you can get a good deal on great glasses (first pair of strummers were from there); as for discount glasses sites - popularglasses.com never reimbursed me but I told AMEX and they simply pulled the charge no question asked (the sales tax that is - I was stuck patronizing them for the glasses but it would be too much of a headache to fight) - as for other sites I honestly couldn't answer that.

For now on I think I am just going to go the the boutique. I used to go, avoid the salesmen, and tried on and found stuff I liked on my own to find online. But in the future I think i will just go to one in a good place, find the gay guy (don't mean that in an offensive way of course) and let them pick something for me that is naturally not too ridiculous.

I bought ray ban original wayfarer sunglasses from Amazon . As what i used is cheap sunglasses eyewear in the past, i decide to buy real cheap brand sunglasses only. Not cheap plastic imitations any more.

I broke my favorite pair of sunlasses ever (and the only pair I really wear - Strummers by Oliver Peoples) and instead of staying away from them because they are a bit fragile I went out and not only bought another pair, but also picked up some Prada Shields (realized they were PERFECT for top down cruising) as well as a nice pair by Gucci.

To be honest, your best bet is to find a discount online sunglasses/sunglass place to save some cash while not having to worry about authenticity (or slight defects) as you would on ebay. The only catch is as soon as you it the order button you are committed and then have to wait for up to two weeks while they in turn order them from wherever through some crazy channels.

If you do this though stay away from PopularGlasses.com!!!. Customer service sucks, you talk to some really shitty attitude and unfriendly real brooklyn trashy bitches on the line and then they refuse to update you and then work with you unless you make a big stink. In fact I am waititng to see what thei next move is - I ordered my glasses back in NY and put a rush on them as I was moving a week later. A few days nothing. Finally right before I leave I call to tell them to cancel, and that I will just order again when I get the new address. They told me it was a 20% restock fee which was in the fine fine fine fine print. 20%?!?! $100 in my case. Anyway after considering calling AMEX and telling them to not pay it I (especially after talking to some real bitch on the phone) but then cooled down and offered an olive branch - they just hold the order, get me my sales tax back as it was shipping from NY to NY (Brooklyn to Brooklyn in fact - and they do not offer pickup service). Well I finally got an address and they finally got them out to me... but now I see they still haven't reimbursed my sales tax - $40 bucks. Contacted them Friday and nothing. Lets see if they get back to me, if not eh glasses will be returned to sender and my very friendly amex customer service will pull the charge. On top of that do';t be surprised when I splatter their name across the forums!!!

    New Sunglasses?!

So, this being my first summer with a drop top, I think its time I get some more sunglasses, I dont want to spend too much more than £100 as I am very good at losing and breaking sunglasses. The sort of style I am looking at so far are theese.

Any suggestions in that price range and style?!

    Cheers Guys!
