For some time I wanted to share my pictures that I have taken after my return from the United States last year after attending a course in Montgomery, Alabama. It was a great year for me; I have made many friends, either during the course or through automotive forums.
Our journey back home consisted of a few stops in the United States to visit friends before we embarked on our long journey back home.
In the pictures below you will see pictures of the road trip that my wife and I have taken during our summer holiday in Europe.
After departing the United States, we headed straight to Switzerland to pick up my car and start the road trip to the Nurburgring. There are two hotels that we love staying at, The Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland and the Schloss Hotel Buhlerhohe in Baden Baden, Germany. These are great spots to relax after any trip.
Then we headed to the Nurburgring and just before the race over the weekend, I enjoyed a few days of Sport Auto drivers training on the Nurburgring.
After the weekend, I dropped my car at AMG to have it serviced and pick up another car to drive down to the south of France.
After our return trip I took part in the Nurburgring 6 hours Endurance Race. We left the Nurburgring and headed to Hockenheim for the Formula1 race. And then after a great weekend we headed to pick up my car from AMG after the service. Then we proceeded to visit our good family friend Mr. Alois Ruf; leaving Ruf, we passed by Porsche Works 1 to look at options for our planned Porsche for the wifey. After our short visit we stopped over at the doctors for a medical and then we proceeded directly to Geneva to return the car and head back home to Bahrain. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Staggering trip. I forgot you had a DTM. Holy god! I think I speak for most of this forum when I say that truly is a dream vacation... blasting through europe and the riviera in a CLK DTM or SL 65 staying at the finest hotels, going to motor sport venues, museums....

Its great to see people living life like it should be. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. May you have many more!

Jaber..stunning photos! Looks like a wonderful time.
It was great and the best way to enjoy a holiday is driving in Europe without a plan just pick a spot and go:)
