    life has been very busy, but i finally got some time off to start the basement build. Installed DriCore Subfloor and got all my drywall and studs to starts doing the walls

    Are you sure they mounted it at the right height distance? Mabye they put it up too high.

    The thing I hate about those fake fireplace heaters is people rarely run the power cord behind the unit so it is usually exposed. Also because the fire is fake, it reminds of those tiki table lamps where to mimic fire it uses a lightbulb, a fan and red shredded plastic blowing up lol.

    yep, enough to make main floor real toasty with in 10 min. I would never put a gas or wood fire place, this is not 1920s i got a high efficiency gas furnace for main source of heat.
