    Absolutely. That's why you have to sift through all the BS to find the charities that best align with your own personal beliefs. I can also cut off and stop giving to those that head in the wrong direction. At the same time, too many cooks in the kitchen, in in being too tranparent or taking too much advice from outsiders, keeps things from happenng. A good board can take care of this. I've seen plenty of abuse in my time in what I do.

    You have to take it for what it is. If you give to the homeless guy on the exit ramp, you can't control what he really does with the cash. There are ways to control such as giving food instead but the act is in the giving.

    Yes Mateo I agree. That's how it should be. However, unfortunately there are many charity owners who are not sincere with their deeds and they are just using the organization for their personal interest.

    What do you think of being transparent when it comes to cash, funds, and donations in the charity? Do you find it important? If yes, how do you keep the transparency? Do you have auditors? I think this is important because this is one of the best ways to retain the donors.
