Am I allowed to quote myself? I'm sorry, but that car is ruined. I wish I could say it wasn't.

I dont know why companies cant just put up pictures of their entire car. Teasers are the bane of automotive forums.

When I reveal a product I've been working on, I don't go to a trade show and say "HE GUYS, HERE'S HALF OF IT!" to build up 'suspense' or whatever.

not a fan of the orange one with the orange rims at all, but if it had proper rims, was actually painted, and didn't have the SV sticker, i think it would look amazing

The first one with the orange and black wheels, looks terrible. The one from DMC Germany looks alot better! Still don't think i'd do it to my own Aventador if i had one.

I think it's all aesthetic only.....

Great Q...read my mind

Just to confirm, you're saying CFD is more accurate than wind tunnel testing? Or was that reading between the lines. How a computer predicts air to react to design, heat, etc., and how it actually does in a tunnel aren't dependent variables. CFD is useful in design, but all supercars worth their salt are tested in a tunnel. CFD is a design tool.
This!

DMC does not send its cars to a physical wind-tunnel, for accuracy reason. The company instead relies on a far more detailed, Computational Fluid Dynamics Expert to model its cars on the computer, where a software wind-tunnel is projected.

This is the de-facto new standard, which is not only being followed by DMC alone, but by almost all German Tuning houses.

Random follow up question since people are calling DMC out on testing, I would love to know how many kits from any other company actually get wind tunnel tested. I was always under the impression that kits on street cars were for aesthetics and any functional advantage would be minimal at best.

"CFD is useful in design, but all supercars worth their salt are tested in a tunnel. CFD is a design tool."

That's true, but you can use that CFD as input for Wind-Tunnel-Software, which will give you more accurate data than a car (or in most cases downsized model) in an actual physical setup.

This is just DMC's opinion, and we welcome every manufacturer to decide how they do it (if at all), we just think the client deserves the best possible product, using a technology that we believe in.

Any other comments or questions, please contact us at info@dmc.ag , thank you!
