Hands down the best series of Vinyl Plank is made by Karndean. Trust me. I've put down over 200k sq ft of the stuff in my properties in the past 2 years. Look at their art select line. It's an amazingly real residential product. No other brand touches it.

This one is my favorite of the line

You have to see it in person to understand how cool it is

From my experience Bamboo is expensive. Although the bamboo takes a beating a lot of the new stuff comes with Low-VOC finishes that are very soft and scratch easily.

I would go with bamboo. Cheap, looks good, real wood, and takes a beating. Search for "bamboo flooring" at lowes.com to see the variety and pricing. I did a rental unit in it and it looks great. I used to hate bamboo because of the uniform look of the knuckles, but they have so many finishes and techniques now that you can find something to fit whatever you are looking for. Solid, engineered, stranded, scraped, stained, strips, planks, you name it.

If you insist on vinyl, check out Amtico. It is the only vinyl flooring I have ever seen (and used) that really looks like wood, and it survives whatever you do to it. But it is thick, heavy, and expensive.

I just put some in the apartment that we rent out. We have real bamboo in the house so we used the fake in the apt. I was impressed with the job that I did. Went in fairly easy and went right on top of the crummy vinyl job that had been done before.

    got it at home depot.

Looking to get a PVC wood flooring

I am looking to do a kitchen in PVC wood flooring in my brothers house for him, and wondering if any of you guys have done this. Or at least purchased it. He had a hard wood floor, but due to a few party mishaps, its just not going to work.

I liked the look of the fake wood in hospitals, so i have been looking in to it. I love the look! It lasts a long time, and maintance is not hard.

All i have found is suppliers from china(which is not an issue) but I have no need for 6000sm
