    Sometimes a cheap alternative will not give you the type of attention to detail, design and material that is up to your standards. For that reason I don't buy cheap sunglasses, I certainly won't entertain insanely expensive options either.

    They told me Gucci was Lux. Oh well. They were $220 and $200 before 50%. So $210 total isn't bad

    When I used to sell glass at my old company you would not believe the markup! Sometimes over 1000%!!

    We would get sheets of glass in bulk at wholesale at like 2$ a piece and depending on what we cut out of it and the shape some pieces of glass could retail for over 100$!!!

    Gucci is Safilo. Burberry is by Lux. 50% at Lenscrafters is still expensive. You can go to a mom and pop place and get it at regular price for less. But it is still much much better than paying their retail prices.

    My buddy is a lab manager for Lenscrafters. He told me all about this little empire called Luxotica. I couldn't believe it! But the upside of being his buddy, I get 50% off my shit at lenscrafters and sunglasses hut. Just picked up a pair of Gucci and Burberry Shades for half off and got my prescription lenses done for half too. Still a rip off though... But less than full retail!
