Subscribed. Can't wait to see the outcome. I love G55s!

Love the stock color. Should have kept it that way. But I'm excited to see the final outcome of the trucks build.

^ I know. I always wanted a black G55. And I bought this one because it was very clean and a good price in order to modify. I thought about wrapping it. But I'm getting the paint job at almost the same price. Wrapping is quoted over 4k in Miami. Paint jobs like this can run over 10k at a reputable shop. I am getting done for 6k since the owner is a friend. I hope I don't regret messing up a perfectly good paint job, but I'm chasin a dream .. Lol.

POLL QUESTION. Ok the car is stripped down and ready to paint. I need a decision between these two samples. The left is between a matte and satin and the right is satin almost semi gloss. You can see it against a regular black, on a white paint, and indoor. Which one should I do right or left?

On a regular black painted car

    On a white car

    Thanks. Will start painting Saturday!

matte. I think the satin will look too stockish. Matte with gloss black accents. gnar.

Well turned out that satin was a bit too shiny. And it looked like a dirty regular painted car. So we went with something in between satin and flat. It is called pearl flat black. Sounds a little silly but looks great in person. It's a flat black with pearl an gives it the matte look from some angles and a cool finished look from others. The car has its first coat on it. Here is before and after base coat. Hope it looks good on the car as it did on the panel.

I think it will look sick if you paint the lips in gloss black then satin black on the centers,
