Hey, I want to clear the record here and disclose that I am not necessarily in the opinion that capitalists are scum... I am saying with the details of what we are discussing here (and others that fit it respectively) that the decisions behind why the way things are in these cases is bullshit. I have been a serial entrepreneur for a very long time and I am no stranger to "running the show" but there comes a point where you need to make decisions with some sort of moral fiber and a backbone. Capitalism is a great mechanism but examples like this are taking it too far, beyond the point of reason... which in this case is biting the very hand that feeds them. It is okay to own a business, its okay to even kill it hand over foot... but not when your doing it at the same time you are blatantly flipping the bird to the guy who is one of many that are the reason you get paid the way you do and your company enjoys the "success" it does. Feel me brother?

I understand but think of it from my perspective. Mercedes has safely delivered my family over 40k miles with no problems. My 2 bimmers a combined 75k Lexus 200k combined. I just harbor zero animosity towards any brand or dealership as every experience has been better than the next. My biggest disappointment was taking my 911 in for service and getting a cobalt for the day. I consider that very minor compared to what I'm reading. As I'm sure you can imagine self experience is going to dictate 99% of my opinion. Therefore the last couple posts seem wildly outlandish even tho they are based on your own experience. To each their own but I felt the need to express my opinion for the other side

Totally with you there man... I understand/"get it" As I caught Raw mention earlier on another thread... no drama here (not that I am saying there was to begin with), we are all here to learn! It's great to hear your positive experience actually!

I don't get it...i don't know anyone in Germany with these problems.I know multiple people driving an SLS or other AMG's like CL65 or SL65 BS.Seems like MB USA is not as good as the German dealers.I only know one person with a CL65 with a broken transmission and the car was 3.5 years old, and for the time the car was at the dealer he got a S65 as relplacement!

That is *really* interesting to hear and perhaps your right... maybe this is a MB USA thing and not a global issue. Do the dealers work in the same fashion over there with respect to how they work with the techs/instruct them and the goals that are placed on them?

i think it is pretty common problem, depends on the country .. in Estonia, my C class is perfect, but M class (second one) breaks down constantly.. German roads are pretty much perfect, but in here, suspension lasts 100 k km approx, and after that needs constant repairing.

This is exactly what capitalism and free markets are effecient at fixing. As more and more people experience these issues with this dealer, they wil go to a different dealer, or even a different brand, and the dealer/brand will be negatively impacted. At that point, they will either have to fix what is wrong with their system to win back customers from their competition, or they will not survive. What allows these businesses to remain afloat, is continually allowing them to take advantage. If I have a bad experience, I then take it to a different dealer, and the old dealer loses my business. If I have had many good experiences, like the OP, I will give them more than one shot, but there's a limit and they lose my business - and I would typically have a conversation with my rep there to let them understand why. If the same issues persist at another dealer, then I move away from the brand. That's the beauty of the free market.
