After doing more research, and talking to a few MB dealers, I am so glad I didn't. If anything breaks out of warranty...... prepare to dig DEEP into those pockets!

    Does look bad ass though!
That's my main worry. Even at mid $60's it's a magnificent car, but the repair bills reflect the $200k msrp.

I know the big MB's probably won't have any problems for 100k miles, but it's an expensive what-if.

Buy one and drive the piss out of it for 50k miles. If you buy in the mid 60's how much lower can they possibly go?

Price wise you're looking at a bmw 650, or SL65... Hmmm, tough choice.

At what point do you start blowing up half shafts, diffs, etc on these things? I know vipers start really tearing stuff up at the 1000 ft/lb mark with drag radials.

I absolutely love the AMG cars. Nothing like rolling up in that black monster, quiet as a church mouse, and putting a ghetto ass whooping on a ZR1. If only the 65 had the 55 exhaust note, damn turbos killing the rumble.

I hear there are more problems with the sl500 than the sl55 and sl65 variants. Is this true?
