    So here is my opinion....

Mercedes flew me out to Palm Springs and I test drove the AMG Gt at thermal race club for a whole day. The car is pretty damn SWEET. It really is an awesome package. It drives like a 911 and corners beautifully. I had the chance to drive the edition 1 and the regular. Major difference that u feel is the carbon cermics which only make sense if you are going to track the car

Special edition cars that dont come from the supercar brands (IE: ferrari, lambo, bugatti, etc) are extra money thrown in the garbage. Believe me, I had an 2013 SL65 45th anniversay. 1 of 45 cars made, 1 of 10 in the us and I took a BATH when i went to sell it. The special editions are not worth the extra dough.

I have driven both the SLS and the AMG Gt on the track and public roads and the AMG GT is all around a better car for the money. The SLS is impratical as a daily IMO. The AMG GT has the new AMG motor and the interior is perfectly updated and comfortable and the car corners the track like a 911 and not like a mercedes. AMG GT also has some room for groceries

I also love the new SL's. I would look into an SL63. Coupe when u want it, drop top when its nice. and drives like a dream and practical.

    Just my 2 cents.

Very much appreciated!!! She loves the SL's and I had an SL63 all RennTech'd and that's the only car she's ever missed....
I drove the new TT Porsche and I really like that car, but it's for her....

If it's for your wife, I'd go with the sls since you will most likely sell it a buy something else in a year or two.

Any of those AMGs will be a downgrade from the TTS IMO.

...but if she insists, I vote SLS!

I agree with this, you are trying to sell TT but ever other comment is how GT is almost like 911?! Why downgrade? I would eather keep Porsche or if you are changing get something totally different like SLS.

I agree...I'm a HUGE fan for the TTS! Wife loves the SL's and figure I have afew sports cars, get he something she wants...

She loves the SL63's, Loves the SLS and the new AMG GT.... I'm really liking the SLS AMG GTR.... Matte White, black everything out, add some RennTech and call it a day.... Get it "gently used" and not loose my ass,,,

If you're between those models I'd go SLS too. My local dealership has one in red sitting on the showroom floor...such a gorgeous car.

SLR hands down. Will not drop in price. If you can find a 722 for sale, I would go that route.
