Call up your dealer and ask how much a brake job on one is. Carbon brakes= New rotors and pads for front only was oh $7200!!! MBZ and low cost don't go together. There good for a few miles and then there always in the shop. My good friend is a tech at a MBZ dealer that has 63 service bays and everyone one was full with a waiting list to get worked on. Just FYI...

just get a C350 and call it a day ... It's pretty quick and in terms of reliabilty, it's great .. nothing like the last C klasse.. The AMG will set you back quite a penny, when something breaks (see last page, on the brakes) and bumpers etc are also pretty expensive. I drive a C220 CDI Avantgarde and 400NM feels great, next year I'm probably upgrading to C300 CDi .. I'm kind-of a petrolhead, but the fuel economy and the torque is just so great, that I'm pretty sure that all of my next dailies are going to be diesels, because of the ridiculous prices

I heard BMW have a lot of problems. I drove C63 AMG before; it was really fun to drive. I have a lot of friends who drive Benz and I heard nothing problem about Benz. But I really want to buy Audi RS5

This issue was only apparent when the car was cold and the body flexed to go over a curb, incline/decline or hit a bump at slow speeds.

My brakes will squeal when approaching a stop at slow speeds but this car gets driven quite spiritedly so I'm not surprised.

Eats tires too. Third set of rears will go on in the spring when the winters come off. Again, lots of spirited driving.

I would not hesitate to pick one up as they are solid if you keep up on the maintenance.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing of being a knock off.. Judging from the other comments I think the C63 might not be the right fit.

I wanted to play with the big boys.. I had the 135i and every time I saw a M3 it was like ALMOST THAT would pop into my head. Just didnt want that anymore. Also hated the reliability of my brand new 135i. My family has always owned lexus cars/ Suvs and they have served us very well. But when you hear Lexus not really a performance car but I have heard and seen great stuff about it lately.

Im selling my C350 6spd 1 of 200 with 33k miles! lol. If I were you I would consider a C55 AMG. I had one and loved it. It isnt slow and there are cheap mods for it. It was cheap and easy to maintain. The 55 motors are bullet proof.
