Thought you were the coolest kid in school when you put those Bentley Continental wheels on your MK IV? Not any more. Whoever snags this set of hoops will have the ultimate bragging rights in the hard parking lot. It’s a set of wheels you might not ever see show up for sale again. Bugatti riiiiims.
That’s right, it’s a set of four honest to goodness Bugatti wheels. From a Veyron 16.4. The eBay seller is probably expecting you to put them on your Bugatti, because buyers of $2 million hypercars are always looking to save a few quid on maintenance, right? But that doesn’t mean that you have to follow along. All you need is the right set of adapters. And enough fender to clear 365-wide tires. And 540 diameter wheels. 540? Metric wheels? Fancy! No problem for clearance, right? You can probably just stretch on some 335s or something (note, don’t do that or take that as sound mechanical advice).
Well, it’s probably not much of one if you can afford the current $100,000 asking price. Compare that with the original tires and wheels where the rubber alone runs the best part of $50,000, plus $120k for the wheels, and finding a shop that can actually deal with the glued-on PAX metric tires and it seems like a better deal. These Michelins have a claimed 85 percent tread, after all. Though they’re getting a tad aged for a set of tires. And while every fourth set of tires needs a wheel x-ray on the Veyron, since you’re not likely hitting 200 mph in whatever you put these on, that’ll bring down the running costs. Right?
Who cares, just get these Bugatti wheels and put them on the hooptiest hooptie you can find. Because you can.
