And it’s just as delicious!
Lamborghini said it was only building 600 Aventador SVs, but a caveat to that promise has appeared in the form of the very-fast and very-blue Aventador SV Roadster.
Like the hardtop SV, the SV Roadster is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 producing a formidable 740 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. Power is channeled to all four wheels through a seven-speed, paddle-shift manual transmission. Lambo claims a 0-60 of 2.9 seconds (just 0.1 slower than the hard top) and a top speed of over 217 mph. The Roadster carries 110 additional pounds over the coupe, but with performance like that, you’d hardly know it.
The removable top consists of two carbon fiber panels that weigh less than 13 pounds, and thanks to a quick-release system, can be easily fitted, removed and stowed. The rear window can be raised or lowered by the driver to manage noise and wind buffeting.
Aside from the lack of a fixed roof, the SV Roadster’s interior is identical to the coupe’s, which means a high-tech gauge cluster, Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber surfaces and sport seats.
The outside is pretty much the same from the waist down too, with downforce inducing bodywork and a three-way adjustable rear wing. It’ll also be available in colors other than blue, obviously, but we’re really digging the hue pictured here.
If you want one, act fast — as in right now. The hardtop SV sold out incredibly fast and the Roadster will probably go even faster.
