The first Aston Martin Vulcan owners have taken delivery of their vehicles in a way some of us can only dream of. As if owning the Aston Martin Vulcan wasn’t a privilege in and of itself, the first owners got an opportunity to travel to Abu Dhabi to receive world-class training from an elite team of drivers, including Aston Martin Racing works’ Darren Turner. As a track-only supercar, the Aston Martin Vulcan packs 820 horsepower from a 7.0-liter V12 engine.
To get the new owners prepared for their experience, the British automaker first got them behind the wheel of a V12 Vantage S road car and the Vantage GT4 race car. It was only after preliminary training that the Vulcan owners were allowed to climb into the cabin of their own supercar to tear up the iconic Formula 1 Yas Marina Circuit.
On every lap, each owner had their own passenger-side instructor and the customer’s skills were tested throughout the day and into the night, so they could fully experience the Vulcan in different conditions.
Only 24 units of the Vulcan will ever be built, and each owner gets the privilege of receiving driver’s training so they can make the most of their supercar.
“Aston Martin Vulcan is a very special car and that is why we have developed a unique ownership programme,” said Aston Martin director of special projects and motorsport, David King. “This includes specialist training so customers can drive it in the way it was intended. It has been great to see the first customer’s reactions after unleashing their very own Aston Martin Vulcan on the Grand Prix circuit here in Abu Dhabi.”
