Those lucky enough to check out the 2016 London Motor Show will get a first look at McLaren’s new family member.
The upcoming 570GT will be on display May 5-8, alongside its brothers in the McLaren Sports Series, the 650S Spider and the sold-out 675LT.
The 570GT was designed to be more of a practical, everyday-use type of supercar. It’s built for long distance journeys rather than sprints, with a unique side-opening rear glass hatch that offers 220 liters of additional storage space. And no long drive would be complete without the panoramic roof for a more open-air feeling. But that’s not to say this car can’t move. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, rated at 570 PS (562 HP) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque pushes the 570GT to a top speed of 328 km/h. It also offers three different modes for the handling and powertrain – Normal, Track, and Sport.
The 570GT will start shipping out in July, with a price tag of $224,393 US
