Lamborghini Centenario Roadster Set to Debut This Week

The Lamborghini Centenario Roadster will make its debut later this week in northern California.

Designed as a tribute to the 100th birthday of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, the Centenario coupe was unveiled earlier this year at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. At the time, the Italian automaker confirmed that 20 coupes and 20 roadster versions would be made, all of which were already sold despite its starting price tag of $1.9-million.Lamborghini-Centenario-01As for the Centenario Roadster making its debut this week at Pebble Beach, Lamborghini is describing it as a one-off, which suggests the customer had it personalized through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program. We wouldn’t be surprised it if this becomes the basis for the production model.Lamborghini-Centenario-02Based on the Aventador, the Lamborghini Centenario is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine with 770 horsepower, making it the most powerful engine the company has ever made. In coupe form, it is capable of going from zero-to-62 mph in 2.8 seconds while having a top speed of 217 mph.Lamborghini-Centenario-03Stay glued to our sister site, AutoGuide.com, as we they’ll be reporting live from the 2016 Monterey Car Week.
