Ferrari is one of the top automakers in the world, and it’s not only because of their desirable products. They’ll sell their cars to anyone willing to put up top dollars, but they won’t trade the exclusivity of their products to meet the high demand.
“We won’t do so many that people will take them as a series and go from one to the next. I don’t want them to be too available. We need to be more stringent, especially at the price we expect people to pay,” says Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne.
Ferrari has the luxury to say ‘no’ thanks to their history and reputation – and that’ll include self-driving Ferraris. When asked if a self-driving Cavallino Rampant could be on the horizon, Marchionne scoffed, allegedly saying ‘over my dead body.’
