The majority of the Porsche 911 is certified turbocharged, and that now includes their high-end 911 Turbo series.

Set for a live debut at Detroit next month, Porsche has unveiled its facelifted 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S. Coming as either a coupe or convertible, the boosted 3.8-liter bi-turbo flat-six now produces a total of 540 hp, while the Turbo S has a little more kick at 580 hp.

As expected, this power boosts haven’t effected performance. The Turbo S coupe makes the sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a new top speed of 205 mph, while the Turbo paces slightly behind at 3 seconds and 199 mph, respectively.

The exterior received some minor upgrades – new door handles, updated taillights, and new 20-inch alloy wheels. There’s also a new PSM Sport Mode button that alters the intervention threshold of Porsche’s Stability Management system. This allows drivers to each near-optimal, top-end performance numbers.

The 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo range will go on sale in Germany in late January, with a starting price of 174,669 euros.
