Brabus has presented its 700 hp take on the new 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 at the recent Monaco Yacht Show.
The world famous tuner of Mercedes and AMG products is calling its tuned G63 AMG the Brabus 700 Widestar. As you might have already guessed, the SUV has nearly 700 hp on tap, producing an insane 691 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque from its tuned 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. All it took to give the 585 hp 4.0-liter that extra 114 hp was a retuned ECU and a new sports exhaust, so AMG is clearly leaving a lot of meat on the bone with this engine from the factory. Brabus says the 5,400+ lb SUV will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.3s and is electronically limited to 149 mph.
The 700 Widestar gets the latter half of its name from its wide body kit. The kit consists of new front and rear fascias, side skirts and wheel arch flares, while Brabus also offers a vented hood, a roof-mounted rear hatch spoiler and a roof-mounted front lightbar with integrated LED lights. A range of Brabus aftermarket wheels are also available for the SUV ranging in size from 20-inches to 23-inches.
We got a peek at Brabus’ interior upgrades for the new G-Class when we showed you the custom blue interior for a Brabus customer’s 2019 G63 AMG. The interior of the Widestar 700 the company showed in Monaco this week had a bit more mainstream appeal, however, with reupholstered white and black leather surfaces joined by orange accents and stitching. Brabus says there is a “sheer endless variety of available colors” and materials available for the G-Class and Widestar 700’s interior, so just about any color combination you can think of is possible.
Pricing details for the Brabus 700 Widestar aren’t available, but we’re sure Brabus would be happy to give you a quote if you reached out to them.
