After roughly two years of development, Corvette specialist tuning outfit Callaway has finally revealed its C7 GT3-R in Germany. The new carbon-fiber race car already meets all GT3 class and FIA rules and regulations, so it’s ready to hit the streets.
Power comes courtesy of Chevrolet’s own 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8, that’s now been tuned to pump out 600 horsepower. What’s most evident in the new design however, is the body work; much of the redesigned body is composed of lightweight carbon fiber. Also of note are the new flared front and rear wheel arches, side exhausts, restyled front fascia, and the massive rear wing.
Callaway hopes to begin production sometime in 2016.
