I agree is acting like their shit doesnt stink acting all high and mighty. Once the demand dies down they will call begging people for their $100,000, my friend and I figured by 2nd quarter 2014, they would of caught up and outpaced demand, but I asked my local RR dealer and they said they are still 8 months out on Full-Size orders. Meanwhile exporters are foaming at the mouth willing to pay 110-120% sticker for V-6 models

i had a weird expierence like this once. I was maybe 19, I wanted to buy some sports car at the time..cannot even remeber what it was, but wanted to trade in my 01 Mustang in, and buy the other sports car. This was in 02 mind you, so the mustang was a year old. I told them I wanted to drive it, and he asked if I was paying cash, and I explained I have a down payment, and I will be trading this Mustang in, and understand I will have to pay the difference. He looks at the Mustang, and he said "Well, when you come back with your parents, you can take it for a spin" I was like I am over 18? I do not need my parents, and he said, I am sure they will have to apporve you trading in there car, and he started talking to someone else? And, I did call first...Obviously didnt buy it.

At another dealership, I wanted to test drive/buy this Supra, this was also in 02, so same situation. Before I could park this dealer was asking me what I was there for and such..I told him, and he asked for my license to make a copy of my ID...sure, then he asked me to come in with him, I told him, no just get the keys, I will look it over while you make a copy, and he said well are you going to pay cash, I said no....He asked if he could pull my credit, to make sure I can afford the payments, I said no way, I am gonna make sure I like it before I do any of that, and he explained to me, thats not how he does things and he gets the loan apporved before the customer can drive it, I said let me tlak to your manager...he seemed shocked, but did...I told the manager the situation, and what I wanted to do.. He agreed with me, and got a new salesmen.

The car ended up being a POS and I did not buy it, but asking to talk to a manager may have been the next step if I was in your shoes that day.

lol, so many idiotic salesmen. I can't believe they get away with pulling this stuff (referring to below events). I can only hope that management at those dealerships didn't know how their salesmen were treating customers.

    Absolutely unbelievable.

This fatass, son-of-a-bitch salesman walks up and told him "don't touch the car, you'll have to win the lottery or something to ever afford it." He didn't know that he was prepared to pay cash outright, same day. My friend just laughed and we walked out. He's contemplating whether to report it to the higher-ups, or just let it slide.

Some salespeople think that everyone's going to waste their time or something, but they don't realize that the person they talk shit to could pay them their own salary on the spot.

I talked with a guy at a Dodge dealer once that said he used to look at the persons appearance, and if they looked like a someone who would be a buyer..until, one day he claimed, a below average Joe came in, getting off the RTD bus, walked across teh street to the dealership and walked up to him and said, I am here to buy a Viper. The salesmen looked him over, and said oh really?? with what? and the guy pulled out many hundreds, and said with cash. They only had one Viper in stock, so he said this is your only choice, still thinking he was full of it, and he said that will work, and sure enough paid cash.

Tell this story, this reminds me of another. This was not really a bad salesmen, but I wish I was loaded at the time. A friend of mine was looking to buy a Used Trans Am form a Dodge dealer. While my friend was looking it over, I was looking at the 2 Vipers in the show room. A salesmen came over and knew I was just looking, and said..witch one are you taking home? I said I have to drive them first, he laughed as he should. But, then he said are you having trouble in deciding on the color between the two? I said, I wish, I will just take both. He then said, if you pay the full amount, in cash, on the window sticker, I will throw the other one in for free.

ohhhh man, I wish I could have said, be right back, the bank is only open another hour..haha
