During Industry Pool at the Nürburgring I have filmed the 2020 Lamborghini Aventador SV Jota.

Lamborghini brought the Aventador SV Jota at the Nurburgring for the necessary high-speed testing, flooding along the way the ears of our spies with angry V12 melodies.


Set to revive the historic Jota nameplate, Lamborghini’s most extreme Aventador to date is going to offer breathtaking performance, both on and off the track. The goal for Lamborghini is to create an even better Superveloce and if the rumors prove to be true, then they are on the right path of making it happen.

Even with the full body wrap applied, the Aventador SV Jota can’t hide its very aggressive aero agenda: the front end features a really deep splitter while the rear gets a full-width diffuser and a new setup for the exhausts that now exit from the middle, just like the Huracan Performante. There’s a big wing too, in case you didn’t notice it.

Lamborghini will almost certainly use the same active aero trickery, first seen on the Performante, on the Jota. Lamborghini calls the system ALA, which utilizes hollow components that let the air travel through them on demand, therefore altering the amount of downforce needed depending on the driving conditions.

The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 will also receive a power upgrade, from the 730hp it currently makes in the Aventador S to around 780 to 790hp. The single-clutch automatic transmission is also expected to be upgraded.

So far Lamborghini has used the Jota nameplate only on its most hardcore and rare models, like the Miura Jota and the Diablo Jota. This makes the upcoming Aventador SV Jota even more special indeed, with Lamborghini expected to keep production numbers really limited.

The most extreme version of the Lamborghini Aventador is expected to debut later this year, so expect to hear more from it in the coming months.
