I became a fan of this watch after I saw this thread many months ago...

I figured it appropriate to revive in light of the new version of this watch. Anyone check this out yet?

Hands-On With The Tissot Seastar 1000 Automatic Professional Chronograph*Valjoux - Watches Worth Knowing About - HODINKEE

Very slight differences, movement (obviously), 1mm size bump, a few markings on the dial and the day next to the date. Pretty interesting edition IMHO.

I do like the tweeks made in the newer edition. But, 1k price bump for just the 7750 seems a bit much. Granted, it will be available at half that thru discounts, its still getting into a price range where other watches become viable competitors.

Hmm, I have the model reviewed here. Though 1mm isn't much, I dont think this watch needs to be any bigger. I like the rotor on the revised version a bit better as well as the raised markers. I don't think the overall redesign looks as 'classy' as the model reviewed here. I couldn't justify the bump in price.
