It is very quiet in here. Anyone making some 2014 F1 Predictions?
Do you think Vettel can achieve 5 in a row?
Will Alonso and Kimi get along?
Will Riccardo be able to keep pace with Vettel?
The Mercedes powered cars were by far the most reliable in pre-season testing. I was surprised to see Lewis have problems early on. Renault is in big trouble.
Can ANYONE track me down a streaming link to free practice one? My dvr fucked up, and I missed it. Really wanted to see the first practice session of the season.
I can sum it up in real quick for you: Hamilton broke down, barely anyone really did much running, lots of people went off and the cars don't sound nearly as good before.
All the race stuff aside, I could care less about how the cars look anymore but the lack of that engine roar is really disappointing for me.
Crazy start. I dont know if any of you guys stayed up to watch but its definitely worth it. Not going to spoil anything but there have been some serious twists.
Haha yeah. Passed out as soon as Rosberg crossed the line. Crazy that both Seb and Lewis had pretty much the exact same issue and their teammates went one, two. Looks like its going to be a really good season.
What American? There are no US drivers on the grid. If you mean Daniel Ricciardo, he is Australian.....and disqualified after the post race technical inspection! Expect the appeal to be quite interesting as Christian Horner is claiming the FIA supplied fuel flow sensor was faulty and the FIA knew about it!
Magnessan is Danish. I don't know if there are any Americans in the junior formula either. Connor Daly was looking at an Indycar ride, I will have to research if Alexander Rossi is still in GP2 or GP3 still.
Okay, just did some research...Alexander Rossi is the Caterham team reserve drive for the F1 races and also a Caterham driver in the GP2 championship, Conor Daly is also racing in the GP2 championship, I believe with ART racing.
So, how long till people start to complain that F1 is boring because Hamilton and Rosberg are winning every race?
Nice jog to Hulkenberg! Would love to see some podiums for Force India.
It may take a small miracle, but I want to see Williams on the top step this year!
Ferrari: No wins in 17 races?? Wow! Hard to believe! The pressure has to be on!
Did anyone see free practice this morning? The Marussia's were in the top 10 for a while? I know, it is practice, but they must be feeling pretty good to see their name up a little.
The new engines: LAME!
Lotus: Embarassing! I bet Kimi is glad he jumped ship!
WOW! That was an amazing race. Cant believe Hamilton managed to hang onto it from rosberg and it was cool to see Force India able to show they are going to be competitive this season. Ferrari is going need to figure something out. Hard to believe that they are that far down on power. Also that Gutierrez crash was unreal. Glad to see he is OK. That restart showed just how dominant the Mercedes cars are. All and all a pretty good day IMO. Hopefully the Chinese GP will be just as action packed.
Today's race was awesome! Very happy for Force India. I have to say I am disappointed for Williams. They were poised to podium, but it seems like the Safety Car came at the wrong time for them. It could have just been the pit strategy, but they went from 3/4 to 8/9th. Although I am not a big Massa fan, I thought it would be great to see him on the Podium. A little more insult to the Ferrari camp, who is just plain HURTING!
Nice job to Perez. I bet he is so happy after last season with McLaren which should have been huge, flopped!
Maldonado, could you have made a worse move??
Race was amazing. Mercedes will win if they keep up like that. Love the hear "Riccardo is faster than you, let him pass..."( I really don't like Vettel) Ferrari wtf are you doing? Put your shit together quickly. Also Maldonado will kill someone in his career
I am not enjoying this season nearly as much compared to years past, simply due to the sound. I know that might sound dumb, but that was a big part of the excitement and enjoyment for me. There is no emotion in the sound the 1.6s make and it makes watching the races feel slightly numb.
I missed the Bahrain GP this morning, but man Ferrari needs to step up!
My vacuum cleaner make better sound than current F1 cars Only good part of new engines is there is more competition for 1st place. Bernie says same thing about sound. I hope they will fix it soon.
Watch it. Definitely watch it. That was the best race for this year
absolutely great race today! personally i'm fine with the new engines and that F1 needs development etc etc, however its impossible to think the engines sound good. A simple solution in my opinion would be to remove the fuel flow limit. It would allow the cars to rev higher, go faster, and sound better.
Would have been awesome to see Hamilton and Rosberg going at it without that limit since they were both good on fuel. Would be fun to watch the pushing each other at the limit of their abilities rather than that of the cars
