I think she will do well, if the other goobers in the field don't try to deliberately crash her. Can't ignore the Cracker-Factor. Her skills are maturing and if she can stay with a team with enough MONEY (the true secret of NASCAR), I think she'll be consistent and be around for some time.

I watched on DVR last night, and she did well, all the way up to the last lap where they hung her out to dry and she dropped from 3rd to 8th in the last corner to the line! The left her hanging so hard.
She seemed to be THE RACE, every other comment was about how she was doing, what her strategy was, etc. They are squeezing every bit of promotional juice out of this.
The race itself was a total yawn fest. I really don't think it could have been much more boring. The only good racing was in the last turn on the last lap. The rest of the race was just rank and file running. A bit of shuffling in the pits, but overall nothing there to get excited about.

Without a doubt she is skilled. She probably cannot out drive most men (me included).

The changes to the cars this year have made it harder to race, and force them to just like up and wait for someone to **** up.
