The only thing I am looking more forward to than the start of the F1 season is the official launch of the 2014 Chevy SS Sedan this weekend in Daytona!

Again, I think he'll be back In 14. I think there is a lot of young, inexperienced talent this year, and I don't see them all working out. And with 8mil pounds behind him, I don't think we've seen the last of the crazy Kamui.

I've been a fan of Kamui since his Toyota/Suska 2009 race. Absolutely stunning drive for a rookie!

It reminded me of Sebastian Vettel with BMW!

Looking at Kamui now though, it's hard to say he belongs in F1? With the Sauber of last year, he should have shined. It's hard to say but, I think he'd do great in GT/DTM racing..

That said I believe/prefer he has more talent than many of the pay drivers this year, and certainly more than that Cucumber Narainitpours.

My rookie to watch this season is Valterri Bottas. He has seat time and appears to have real talent.

I can agree with that. My only argument is, Perez only scored 6 more points, and 2 more podiums, and Kamui had an 80% finishing rate to Perez's 70%.

Those stats are no excuse for the lack of results though. I think the Sauber had more in it last season. Now we'll see if the Hulk can make anything of it, and if it was a good move jumping from FI.

Yeah, agreed on the stats comparison. It was odd, before the McLaren contract Perez was composed, after he drove like Romain/Maldando!

Perez should have done better, and Kamui should have had better results. If anything the management at Sauber needs to do a better of managing their drivers results.

I think with the Hulkenburg move, Sauber now has a mature and self disciplined driver, which is what they need due to their management structure. That other Mexican kid they have, Gutierrez? might be a disaster..

Hamilton tops the time sheets. He's really really playing down expectations. Alonso and Vettel have both been quoted as saying they expect Hamilton to challenge for the title. Hamilton on the other hand is saying he just wants to score points, and at this point the engine is strong, and the aero is lacking drastically.

Alonso has been somewhat quiet on the F138. Basically he says the car is solid, and as he expected.

Still no call on whether it will be Bianchi or Sutil at FI.

21 days till Australia. Interested to see how NBC's coverage is. I can't say I'm looking forward to that. I already miss Matchet, Hobbs, and Varsha.

Edit: Just read an article, it will be Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs, and Steve Matchet. Love Varsha, but Diffey has a lot more commentating enthusiasm. Guy does a spectacular job filling in when Varsha is at BJ. They are still holding out, and hopeful to get Will Buxton. Fingers crossed for that.

Buxton would round out the crew nicely. I hope it works out.

Got my tickets to Melbourne the other day. Can't wait to see the start of the season

It's always tough to call anything from testing, but it looks mike the usually players.

The only news I read this week worth mentioning is the McLaren Electronics having bugs for nearly all the teams. Typical McLaren reliability...

21 days till Melbourne! and it feels as if it's been a year hahaha

I upgraded my channel listings just so I could get NBC sports, as my basic package didnt offer, and dish wouldn't let me just add one channel..

I'm not a fan if David or Steve, sadly ill miss Bob. David and Steve constantly make the wrong commentary and I can't stand it when David starts going off or some bias tangent or starts doing his weird noises. Will would be delight and somewhat of a relief to have back, I only wish he was commentating!

They need to have a attractive young woman on the out grid doing Wills Jon from last year. The drivers, engineers, and team boss's will ale more interviews this way.

That's an interesting thought. I actually really like that fit. Swap will in for Hobbs, keep Matchet for tech, and bring Varsha back in next year when his fox contract is up.
