Exclamation My Father and Sister's Recent Passing: Grosser Family Donation Page

    L4P - my second family!

I wish that I was posting this under happier circumstances, but with that said, I am extraordinarily saddened to announce that I have lost both my father and sister in the same week. It has been without a doubt, the toughest week of my life. My father passed at the age of 75 from congestive heart failure. While my sister was only 37 years old and passed away from stage 4 liver and lung cancer after battling with it for the last 10 months at Moffitt Cancer Center, despite the fact that she never smoked in her life and very, very rarely drank. After earning her Masters degree, she spent her professional life working as a licensed mental health counselor. She tremendously helped those in group homes with mental disabilities, in addition to working with children with autism, helped setup the Autism Speaks charity event here in Florida, and much more. She spent her life making sure that she bettered the world and made everyone else happier in their own lives. It's time to pay her back.

A very dear friend of my family created a donation page for my mother, to help her pay for the absolutely insane amount of funeral and medical expenses that we have accumulated. I'm not sure if everyone is aware, but it's very easily possible to spend $10,000 for a funeral burial. I'm doing everything in my power to help generate funds for my mother during the toughest time of her life. If I can make her life even just a little bit easier, it will be well worth the effort. She is an angel and no mother ever deserves this, period.

In under a week, we have already generated over $9,000+ in donations. Many of the donations are from friends of the forum that I have never even met before - absolutely astonishing, thank you. With that said, I kindly ask all of you to please share the donation page with your own family / friends / Facebook / Twitter / Websites / Blogs / Forums etc. I would absolutely love to partner up with companies of any type to put together a fundraiser or anything that can further help generate donations and spread the word on a massive scale. If you are interested, please contact me.

My family is in the process of setting up a non-profit in honor of my sister to help raise awareness for lung cancer and research. No one deserves to go through the pain and suffering that she did this past year. Nor should any family have to endure the pain that we have either. With that said, if any of you ever need help, I would love to return the favor.

    Thank you,

    - Chris

In addition, here is my sister's recent interview with Moffitt Cancer Center before her passing. She was one of the most loving and optimistic people that I have ever met. It was an honor to even know her. Despite her life threatening illness, I'll be damned if she didn't wear her "Life Is Good" t-shirts every single day. I hope that each and every one of us in the world can learn something from her. No matter how bad our days may be, how terrible work may be, or how much you hate being stuck in traffic, there's a lot worse things out there in the world. Love and cherish every happy moment and memory that you are able to experience in life:
