    Last lap wasn't so impressive

What lap ? All I see is him doing a few shakedowns through the carrousel. First time in he nails it perfectly, good speed in and good exit. You definitely don't want to go balls to the wall on a few shakedown laps in a 1k horsepower car on the nordschleife.

It was seriously quick before the crash though, so maybe they have a time?

Probably bottomed it out and lost control. Car looks like it has no suspension travel.

Big middle finger to those of you that flamed me in that thread a while back for saying the Agera would be faster than all the new hybrids.

I can sleep in my race car, you can't race in your house.

Eye witness accounts said he came in too quick into Hohenrain after Dottinger Hohe (where they reached ~400 km/h before) and Tiergarten (+300km/h), stepped on the brakes and hit the wall on the entry.

    Tiergarten

    Hohenrain

My guess is that the factory driver - who doesn't have a whole lot of experience on the Ring and according to von Koenigsegg wouldn't be the one who set the record - liked the performance of the car, got a wee bit overzealous and misjudged the braking point at those speeds. Or that that section of the track was damp.

Yeah well it would be strange if it wasn't with less weight and more rubber on the road. You can't cheat physics.

On the flipside any car under 1000 kg with a decent amount of power and slicks will make the Agera look slow around a track.

I think those two cars are not the same. The car that was crashed is wearing the carbon fiber rims. While the car in the video is wearing magnesium rims. None the less the crash is painful.
