Only footage I could find of Clarkson talking about Koenigsegg in recent years. I think it's only a question of time before we see the Agera/Agera r on Top gear. Probably next season.

That along with a quote from this video...

... made me think a bit.
Could it be possible that Koenigsegg is upgrading the factory car to 2013 R spec in order for it to be tested on Top Gear?
In the video from 2011 Christian says that they were invited for the show and will get on it when they are ready.
    Could this be it?
Seeing as how the factory car has been fitted with the 2013 winglests, 2013 dynamic spoiler, Aircore wheels and the R logo (assuming it has recived an E85 conversion) this could be the case. I would then assume that the car has the triplex suspension aswell.

The picture was taken on the set of the Need for Speed movie, and its possible that the modifications are made just in order for the movie. But it made me think a little...

I really hope this is the truth

Will be very intresting to see how it performs on the track.

We just saw how it murdered the Veyron in a straight line, I would imagine that it will do similarly in the corners. Talked to the NA Koenigsegg Rep last year and he said that Koenigsegg fully intends to be #1 in lap times for Top gear. When Koenigsegg says that, I belive that it will happen, just give it time.

it wou be a PR disaster to not be the fastest for Koenigsegg. Im sure they can make it with the correct setup. However the powerlap board is quite poinless now as the record is held by a car on 1 off special made racing slicks... They better make it to the show before the P1, because that car will demolish everything on that track

To be very honest, as much as I am a big fan of Koenigsegg, I do not see the point of featuring the Agera on Top Gear, if they do not do it in this coming Season. From 2014 onwards, we will see more track-oriented & more modern hypercars inevitably featuring in TG (i.e. LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918), against which the Agera will not stand a chance (particularly around the corners)

So if they feature it this summer & have the lap record, great...Next year, they simply CANNOT top the leaderboard

Like i said before though, the power laptime board is horrible for comparsions... The fastest car in the future will be either the LaF or the P1, probally depending on wich car is on the show first. If the P1 is first Ferrari will bring a LaF on steroids to beat it and claim its stock... or vice versa. Will be intresting to see how the 918 compares though, i definatly belive it to be underrated
I do think that Koenigsegg could beat them IF they show up after the other ones. They will bring a spiced up Agera R wich has been race prepped to death, claim its stock and be the fastest. If all were perfectly stock Koenigsegg, sadly wouldnt have a chance. It has top much power for it to be that fast on a track
