Default Nametag suggestion for next GR...

I noticed in ATL that I kept meeting people using real names, so I fashioned a nametag for myself so everyone would know I was wickedlysane. I meant to bring stickers the next day for people to put their names and screen names on them, but in all the excitement I forgot.

I know I met a lot of you and still wasn't able to remember or put together who everyone was. I think having something like that might help next year so that we can all keep up with all the fantastic people involved.

It's hard as hell to try to identify people just from their wrists, although when FEAR walked into the registration room, I was able to pick him out immediately. His wrists don't lie!

I was already a step ahead of you, so everyone knew exactly who I was....

Well done! I had a little piece of paper stuck to my shirt by a part of a sticker that I cut down to make my nametag. It was the saddest nametag in all of nametag history, but I wore it proud. Thankfully, my Puma shirt with gold foil logo showed up just in time on Tuesday.

I agree. What I'd like to recommend is putting users names specially on the shirts or sweaters we put in the goodie bags. Wouldbe pretty awesome. And if not username the real name.

Justin made it very apparent for everyone to know who he was.

I'm pretty sure my parking spot fiasco at the 4 seasons last year made me pretty well known on goldRush.

This would have come in ridiculously handy when meeting people lol I met so many people by their real names and had no idea who they were on here.

People bring this up every year. Formal avatar name badges is a no brainer. I think making them into a rock concert styled neck lanyard would be good also. They can double as access passes for those that are supposed to be there, a place, a certain aspect or function of the rally. You meet so many people and not only is it hard to remember/meet members but its a good way to differentiate between rally participants, members and tourists.
