    They are vinyl, at least the ones that I have are, so they stick to metal and paint very well and shouldn't come off without some effort. They are also very nice and you get the occasional rep.

    It is like a type of adhesive. Hard to explain if you haven't worked with automotive vinyl I guess. maybe someone else will step in and help me. Basically I have one on the glass on my car, and it is on there unless I want to scrape it off. But they wouldn't stick too well to my sticker covered backpack, which was sort of upsetting.
