OP- Im not mad at you for asking. If anything I think it could lead to a pretty good thread with a ton of knowledge to be had.

As far as people not wanting/willing to share, I'll never understand it- and I dont mean that in a bad way. To hear the stories of others who have made it to and are where you could only hope and pray to be oneday is incredibly inspiring and Ive learned that even in realeasing what it is that you do for a living, its poses no real threat. For example I own a marketing & consultation firm. I love it. However me telling someone that thats what I do, I know what it takes to get "there", and I know that whoever Im telling more than likely doesnt have the fire for it that I do to actually push through and do what it takes to, in any reasonable amount of time, start taking business from me and money out of my pocket. So again, I see no real threat there.

More importantly, if my story could help motivate somebody to do better than "good enough" with their life, that to me is incredibly rewarding. I'll never forget when I was first starting out a few years ago. Yes, I was that kid asking people what they did for a living. Of course nobody opened up. Coming to think of it, maybe that was a good thing in and of itself. Its pushed me to figure it out on my own. And I dont mean, figuring out on my own what it was that people were doing, but more along the lines of what it was that *I* was going to do to get to where it is that I want to be. Its been a long couple of years but to say that Im well on my way would be an understatement.

Ive lost where it is that Im going with this lol but OP, dont get discouraged by people not handing you anything. You dont need em to, you can tackle this and win all on your own. You want something, go get it. Period. Just KNOW that its no cake walk. Long hours, no sleep, confusion and road blocks that all have to be tackled successfully. If it was easy by any stretch of the imagination, everybody would be rockin mansions and Lambos.

My words may not weigh much and I may not have much credit on the forums yet but when you're dealing with people at a higher level like many people on this forum it's much harder to get people to talk about what they're thinking. Many people on these forums are quite private with who they are, what they think, or anything that may give away who they are outside of this forum. Some don't mind, but many do.

Moreover, the same people are usually quiet on their views and advice unless you're someone that they are very close with and can trust. Either that or if they find they have something to gain from sharing their insight. Nothing out there is free, and many of us have gotten to where we are by fighting our way through and thinking outside the box.

Sometimes going out there to find your own answers is better than the answers given to you. You may stumble upon something while you're digging and it'll help you out much more than you imagine. Going out there fighting and searching for what you want will definitely make you stronger and much proud of what what you've achieved.

I wish you the best of luck and don't take the lack of responses personal.

The one thing... that really came out bad about this post.. is that, people seem to think that i wanted to know "HOW DO YOU GET RICH PLZ???". it was not the point at all. i only wanted fun and honest stories. not a "How to get rich" Manual

Thanks for all the replies, and yeah.. send me a mini Hippo im down!!

No offense, but HH is a joke. They clearly don't do their homework to confirm how one has "made it" on their "own". As long as you have a bunch of nice cars, and a baller crib, you can tell them you did it all on your own. Truth or not.
