I think these kinds of "tests" are a joke. Way too many variables. Just by having 2 cars on the track at the same time, each driver is taking a different line which drasticly affects your apex and how you will be able to put power down at the next corner. The only way to properly compare cars, and not the drivers or track conditions, is to test all the cars, one at a time, on the same day with the same driver. Then you are comparing the cars and nothing else.

As for top gears (parking lot) track, you are really comparing how well your car can autocross. I don't know too many people who buy a Scud, GT2 or LP 560 to autocross it. If the journalists want to compare how well these super cars will behave on winding roads, they need to compare the cars on a track that has all the variables and road conditions of your average highway/winding road - hence the reason the Nurburgring is so important to the auto industry.

Now, as far as comparissons at the Nurburgring, they are only valid if thay are conducted on the same day. One lap of the Nurburgring may see you encounter sun, shade, and rain. Now compound the changing weather by different days. Thats why when you read xxx car was faster than yyy car, it really does'nt mean much unless it was on the same day. Find your favorite winding road neer your house, do you drive as fast on it when its wet as you do when its dry?

Sorry to be so boring and statistical guys and gals, but 90% of what is written or videoed in the average motoring press is technically invalid. :bow1:

Ha Ha, that statement "specifically" says nothing. If a Scuderia transmission "sucks" than a Superleggera or any e-gear Lambo is absolutely horrid. Yes I have driven all of the above. The Scuderia transmission is much smoother and faster shifting than any e-gear lambo and has much better clutch action. As far as comparrisson to the GTR, the Scuderia transmission is actually quite close in felt operation to the GTR and both of them are miles ahead of e-gear.

DISCLAIMER: stick shift cars are awesome, i have a few ;)

I am blessed an Extremely lucky to have driven all 3 (and able to afford any or all)
This is how I personally see it.
Scuderia> GT2> LP560

in the end
i own one of the first (if not THE 1st) Scuderia in NA and have 9500 miles on it already (took delivery 4/20/09)

the GT2, loved it but didn't feel much different than say a GT3RS or even a GT3
where as a scud and a 430 are 2 totally different animals

The LP560, great looks, what an amazing improvement on Gallardo lot's of go go but still a little too heavy on the track
(can't wait for the lightweight version)

what are these cars for? i guess what ever you personally ask for...
I see them as highly evolved, technological superior machines;
high performance vehicles, they should be driven with some level of skill and great fervor.

what is so amazing about the 430 Scuderia?

The F-1 technology; shifting/track capability. The ability to go from sensitive street car to a full throttle Race Car!!!

again these are all opinions... bka poeser facts!
