New house, need whole house stereo advice
So I bought a new house! but I need a little advice on the whole house stereo/multi room-zone setup. What I have is a central location with wiring for eight zones. Each zone is set up with four wires and labeled "kitchen, master bedroom, bar, etc..." with the exception of the zone labeled patio. the patio lead ties to three sets of speakers (upstairs patio, downstairs patio and the poolside bar/patio). Each room has the individual knob type volume selector in wall for that particular room including on the patios and by the pool.
Really I don't understand what I need. I know I need a receiver of some sort and a way to connect the receiver to all the speakers, but do I get a higher powered receiver and a speaker selector? or just a wiring distribution block? I don't need this thing to crank but I do want to be able to have all zones hooked up. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. This house is a huge move up for me , the most complicated setup I've had previously is a basic 5.1 home theater surround system...
Thanks in Advance!

congrats on the new home. I recently ditched a wired whole house audio system and went with a wireless SONOS system. totally controllable from iphone/android. if you must use whats installed... where are you located? I know a lot of people in the business.
