    Default HTC One ?

Has anyone pre-ordered the HTC One? I am interested in this phone and I will be checking it out when it comes out in a couple of weeks. I am due for an upgrade so I am deciding whether to get the iPhone 5 or HTC One. It looks very nice and seems to be a pretty good phone with some of the best features on the market. I would like to hear if anyone has went from iPhone to Droid and had either positive or negative experiences. I currently have the iPhone 4 and I am sort of getting tired of Apple products.

It looks better than the samsung.. I like iphone 5 more than these two, due to size and ios, but it is so fragile..

I have the HTC evo now and I'm ready to kill it. It randomly restarts when not in use or when it gets hot. It randomly picks people from my contacts and texts a letter or number.

Lol I hope thats not the case with the One. I will be getting it when it comes out and I am going to try it out for a couple weeks and see if I will keep it or switch back to Apple and get the iPhone 5.

I switched from the iPhone 5 to the Nexus 4.. Definitely made the right choice. This phone is light years ahead of the iPhone (I've had the 4, 4s and 5). I was planning on getting the One, but it kept on getting delayed so I bought the Nexus 4. I'd definitely do the switch from iPhone to One. If the One doesn't work I'd also look at the Nexus.
Overall if you switch from an IPhone to a high end android phone like the Galaxy, Nexus or One you definitely won't regret it.

I want to get the one, but i'm waiting until I can play with one because i'm not sure if it will be too wide for my small hands to be able to use comfortably with one hand, in which case I'll probably end up with an iphone (or a nexus, but it lacks 4g), but I prefer android. (All the good phones these days are huge...) The casing of the one is nicer that the samsung s4 imo, but spec wise they are similar and the s4 probably wins that one (8 core processor, wireless charging, higher mp camera but I think the HTC camera is actually supposed to be really good despite the lack of mp, removable battery I think?). I really just want IR burst so I can turn it into a remote haha. Also I make apps for myself and java/android is alot easier to play with than ios.

Got to play with both the HTC One and the S4 yesterday and I can say they both have a lot going for them. The camera and speakers on the One are amazing. The editing software for the pictures just blew my mind. When you take a picture, it is actually a 3 second clip which you can choose a picture from frame by frame. It also means if you take a group pic and each person adjusts themselves right before you take the shot, you can adjust each persons face within that clip to find the best combination of everybody in the pic. Also the phone can be used as a tv remote which I hear can be a lot of fun at bars with lots of tv's.

If you develop apps for android, you might be interested in the HTC One Developer edition.
