Google's new nexus devices
Hurricane Sandy killed Google’s planned Monday morning media event in New York City, but that didn’t stop the big G from making some noise today. The company took to its corporate blog to officially announce the much-anticipated Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet, as well as an update to its Android Jelly Bean operating system.
best features so far:
the nexus 10 tablet by samsung has the highest resolution in a tablet with 2560 x 1600, 300ppi, 10-inch touchscreenwith micro-HDMI port and usb not found anywhere in ipad.
the phone nexus 4 has new panoramic feature well panorama is a ancient feature in android phone but its new to apple customers so kinda BIG THING for them but google takes it one step further called photosphere were we can take picture of a 360 degree view not just side to side looks neat.

I'm going to be buying a tablet soon, and after everything that I've read and seen, I will likely go with the Nexus 10. I'm more familiar with the Android devices, which is part of the decision, but I still feel that the Apple devices are somewhat over-hyped and over-priced. It's still a matter of personal preference, though. I have friends that will use nothing but Apple.Kevin

I've been seriously looking at the Nexus 4 to upgrade my phone to finally a decent smart phone. Any user feedback on quality, user friendliness, and reliability?

^I switched from the iPhone 5 to the Nexus 4.. I absolutely love this phone, the 4.7" screen is amazing, the keyboard is great, there are no physical home button/back button, they're softkeys and they rotate if you go into landscape mode. Google music is 100000000x better then the iTunes crap.. I'll make a more detailed post tommorow.

Never had a smart phone. Bought a Nexus4 two weeks ago. Freakin amazing. Love the navigation because it uses google maps. Love the keyboard, the processor is lightning quick, and the interface rocks. So customizable I love it. I should also mention I don't have a data plan, and this phone still is amazing. Because its unlocked, I can use it with my carrier without data. My entire campus, home, apartment, and work have wifi, so there is literally no need for it. Navigation pre loads the route while you are in wifi range, then just use it normally along the way! GPS tracking doesn't use data either.
Camera is great too. (taken this afternoon)
Sorry I'm just hyped about this phone.

Yep I use one too, and I love it. The screen is fragile on some of the batches produced Ive heard. Mine fell off the couch and the screen broke, doh.
Other than that, its a great phone. Its fast, the unadulterated android experience is excellent, camera is good, No real complaints other than the weak glass.
Also, Im not a huge app guy, but Swiftkey(a much better keyboard) and Zedge(for ringtones, wallpapers, etc.) are a must on this phone, IMO.
