Just upgraded to a Nexus 4 today, FREAKING incredible. About a ba-jillion times better than the crap (super entry level) Samsung Galaxy Q I had to deal with for 18 months. I didn't even have data plan for that, but now seeing how I should get into the time with 2013, the Nexus 4 is so far everything I expected it to be.

Old phone didn't even automatically switch to wifi, Nexus is super smart and will use wifi when 3G is not needed.

Syncing of old contacts from multiple gmail accounts is a cinch, and I consider myself technologically illiterate compared to a typical high schooler.

Good man! Grab a case for it. I bought this one and it is not even noticeable its so thin. More to protect it from scratches and light bumps, but best case for your buck right here

I hardly every pay for apps, but is swiftkey REALLY worth the four bucks they charge?

I'm also debating on Ghost Armoring it.

The store clerk said Gorilla Glass that already is protecting the Nexus is good, but he has the same phone and has Ghost Armor on top of that, along with a rubber grip like the one you posted. I may actually get that lol.

Haven't paid for any non-free apps yet.

Theres a Swiftkey trial, so you can try it out fully functioning for a trial period and decide if you figure its worth buying. For me, I liked it, and the predictive words and way it works made texting way faster. I found the OEM keyboard kinda crappy so it was a no brainer for me.

I highly recommend you get a screen protector for the front and back.
I got the Steinheill screen protector that came with a front and back, and it was very easy to apply. You can't even notice its there.

I've been an Apple fan since the original iPhone. Had that, the 3g, then the 4. Still have the 4 now. Had a few BlackBerry devices, Windows Mobile, and a couple earlier Android phones, all peppered in there between upgrades... I don't necessarily think the iPhone is the best phone ever, but combined with their retail stores and customer service, they offer probably the best overall ownership experience.

Anyway, I bought the new 2013 Nexus 7 last week... Android has come a long way, and I really like this tablet. So I decided to take the plunge and go full Android, and ordered the Nexus 4. So, my Nexus 4 arrived yesterday, and straight out of the box, DOA. Won't power on. Won't take a charge. Won't even light up the screen at all. Google support had me hold the power key and volume down, and the notification light blinked orange/red... They confirmed it's dead. Now I'm waiting for a Google "specialist" to review my case and set up the process to get a replacement sent out... God only knows how long that will take.

Needless to say, I'm not pleased with my Google experience thus far... But as long as I get a functioning replacement by the end of the month, I won't go running back to Apple waving my Visa card like a white flag.

Though, if this had happened during an iPhone purchase, I could have gone to an Apple store and got a replacement, same day. Just sayin

Wow, never heard of that happening before. I don't think it'll take that long for you to get a replacement, if google says the phone is dead, there really shouldn't be anything to review.. Keep us updated! You won't be dissapointed with the Nexus.

Had to call a second time, but the second Rep was very helpful. Got my RMA and shipping label ASAP, and the replacement phone arrived today.

Best news, it turns on. lol

Couldn't have said it better myself. I catch crap from many people for saying I'll be upgrading to the next iphone before seeing it, but my past experience with android was running through 4 galaxy s's in about 4-5 months. I moved carriers and got the iphone4. It's now been 2.5 years with this phone and I have not once had to call apple.

less features > more tech support. It does what I need (phone/email/text/gps/specific apps).

on the flip side, new features on these android phones is quite impressive, especially now that it's "rolling" down to the tablets . I am eyeing those new Nexus 7's for a tablet/couch reader. Reviews are looking pretty stellar so far!
