Default Red GT-R Paint Correction by aowheels

I had much fun with this detail!!!

This GT-R was in definite need of a full correction. It had embedded water marks, scratches swirls, tons of carbon monoxide build up and had been butchered by a previous detail somewhere along the line…..

The wash and decontamination process took over five hours before being able to properly get started on the paintwork. (A lot of claying)

    Hard water spots on bonnet

Here is a 50/50 where you can see the water spot damage…. Resulting in a 2 stage compounding process!

With the first pass I was able to remove the scratches and swirls as normal…… 2nd pass to remove to remaining water marks.

After one pass….. 50/50….. 2 more polishing steps were done to be rid of the water spots that can still be seen on the clean side of this 50/50 below.

Moving on to the back end….. scratches swirls and water spots on plastic. A few scratches were too deep to fully be rid of…. “Save the cars!!! Future details would be nice” … for the car!

The front end of the car was surprisingly… the easiest section of the car to correct…
