Default Paintwork Care along with the Care for Others

Let me first say sorry for the lack of write-ups lately… Things are always busy as a Father of two little ones. (2 boys ages 4 and 5) They consume all my free time, which isn’t much! But wouldn’t have it any other way!!!
Many who have kids will tell you “They are everything!!!”
I’m putting this write-up together for a certain somebody! I will explain at the bottom of this post.

I haven’t been very big on taking many pics of my details lately. (Sorry) When it comes to taking pics or getting the job done… I choose “get the job done”…. for now.
On the road all the time anymore, pushing miles and circling the state. Taken care of one customer at a time and handling life’s adventure!

As far as some of my recent details… I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. A lot of the times I’ll finish a car late into the night and get no sun shots because I’m already on my way to the next job. Unless I’m at home “like now” And currently at home I have a F250 and M35 sitting in my driveway! They don’t clean themselves! But something just came up that is very important for me to handle….

    Okay!!! Let’s do some details!
First a Porsche Turbo that received a full Swissvax Treatment! Around 12 hours, if I remember correctly.

This last pic is actually a before pic and was taken right after the wash process.

Here is another one that I wish I would have fully documented.
16 hours strait on this Range Rover out of Miami Beach! I really enjoyed this one!!!

That was the extent of my photos taken on that one…. Finished at 2am in the morning!!

    Okay, what else…

    2 V-10 R8’s!!!

    And another…

You can see more pics of this one here>>> https://www.luxury4play.com/audi/9923...s-w-r888s.html

I also had the privilege during the month of December to detail what to me was “My favorite detail of the year!!!!”

‘43’ Lowered GMC from Wheels Boutique

This truck has so many great details through every inch of it! Truly a great build!

Being able to clean a frame from the top side is not common for most details, and is what set this one apart!!! I’m a low-rider at heart! I owned an S-10 myself years ago that didn’t have anything stock when I was done with it!! Also was the vehicle, that lead me into the detailing business!!!

Most of this detail went into cleaning and protecting some of the many unique areas this truck has. The frame was completely open and needed some attention and protection! I started by washing all the loose dirt away with soft brushes and soap!

In the picture below you can see some white over spray that I later clayed off the painted frame

After the frame was cleaned, it was protected with Menzerna Power Lock.

The air bags and all other rubber hoses and fittings were protected with 303 Protection!! As you can see in the pic below the ostrich skin bed is on a hydraulic lift that can be operated from inside the cab! SWEET

The ostrich skin bed held down by stainless steel bad ass spikes!!!
All the ostrich skin, in and on the truck was cleaned… then protected with SWISSVAX Leather fat Elephant Museum formula

Hope your enjoying so far!?!?! This complete write up should have a bit of everything….

A really rough time for me during the end of December and first part of January as my Grandmother passed, (January 6th 2012.) This woman is a huge part of my life and was a very difficult time for me to concentrate and stay focused while working. I had started a Dodge Ram SRT 10 knowing my family’s situation was not good… I ended up keeping this truck for about 2 weeks at my house. I got started on it and about mid way through I couldn’t take it anymore and had to go be by her side for her last days… (Customer is a long timer of mine and said “go handle your biz”) After everything that follows from losing a loved one I got back to work on the truck. Total detail time was 25 hours. “No after pics”. But here are some pics of how the progress went.

    Dodge Ram SRT10

There were many spots on this truck that were unsolvable. The roof was completely oxidized and there were many scratches that a paint correction cannot fix.
The wash and decontamination process took around 8 hours (Insane amount of claying)
    Motor received complete detail
The wing on the truck was removed / wet sanded / polished and put back on. Etc, etc.

    As it was…

The wheels were giving 2 sonax spells…

    My sample clay spot…

Here is a 50/50 of the “CLAYING” that was done…

The truck ended up looking good. I was pretty happy about it but felt I could have kept going and going on that one, So much fixing…. The interior was about as bad as the exterior, all the badges were removed, spoiler off… It was a rough detail. Would I do this truck again if I could??? “NO” Ruined… and needs a dip!

    Moving On……
A good customer for over 5 years now just picked up an Audi S5 conv. That received new car prep!!!

It hasn’t even been touched yet in the one and only pic I provided… sorry

Same customer with the S5 previously owned the white BMW 550i >>> https://www.luxury4play.com/detailing...-aowheels.html

Just a few days before he had decided to switch out for the new Audi, a brush with the “unknown” happened…. “This was and emergency call” This man has been supporting me and my family now for over 5 years. Our relationship has grown past me being just a service provider. I’m all over it when he needs my help the most!

    Oops

I took care of this mess and he was on his way to pick up his new S5… the 3rd one he has owned now… Along with 1 RS4, and a few Mercedes, since I’ve known him! Great Guy and good friend!
It’s a wonderful thing as the years go by and 2 people who where once not sure about one another, are now good friends and can share a laugh or whatever else!

A lot of white cars have been coming my way lately!!!

Porsche Carrera 4S / Secret Entourage “Project Pegasus”

I’ll have more on this one later!

Photo’s Courtesy of Jason Stewart!!! Thank You Sir!!!

Alright!!!! Time for something completely random…

    “The Honda Odyssey”
Ok….. I’ll admit it!!! “I own one…” (I’m sorry) This vehicle stands against everything I have ever believed in. It’s my wife’s most of the time…. Occasionally, I’m guilty of being the one to turn the key. BUT, it does hold a great propose even though it’s not the coolest vehicle. If you have kids, there is no better vehicle to own! This one is not mine…. But its trying very hard to be cool!!!

I corrected this thing about 6 months ago and recently this baller investor friend of mine tried to pinch a penny when an accident happened. It needed repainting on the driver’s side…. Buddy does ball… he’s bought 6 homes in my neighborhood over the last year and a half. He found some shop that would paint it for 300 bucks…. bad idea.
Again, another good relationship with the customer will allow me to tell him how up set I was. I also told him I hope he learned his lesson…. And this explains him taken the long way around and avoiding my spot for the last couple of weeks. lol

I’ve seen worse paint jobs… but these guys mostly messed up with the wet sanding, buffing and polishing…. About everything….

All over the drivers side….. Looked as such….

They also felt necessary to roll the wheel over onto parts of the car that shouldn’t have been touched…..

Here is a video from the first time I detailed it…..

The Luxury Spa for your vehicles (aowheels) - YouTube

Sorry about all the phone pics…. TheWifes been stealing the camera a lot lately….

    Maintenance detail on the 650i

I’ll keep it at that for now! A couple other ones I didn’t mention I would like to do a more standard write up on later….

Thanks for checking out these details!!! BUT, showing these details is not the main reason for this post…

    I know some don’t read what’s writing between the pics…. That’s OK

BUT PLEASE, IF I COULD HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED!!!!
