No one likes a tie, but that’s what we saw last week when the Ferrari FXX K and McLaren P1 GTR squared off in a battle of track-day titans, and going by a quick survey of comments on our Facebook page, you, our readers, seemed equally torn.

Apparently, a run-of-the-mill campaign bumper sticker wasn’t enough for the owners today’s contenders. Enter, the Bernie Sanders Corvette Z06 and Donald Trump Lamborghini Aventador. One is a loud, fast, brash supercar, while the other is a loud, fast, brash supercar that’s available in bright orange.
Let’s find out which one should earn your vote.

LOOKS: This Lambo’s wrap was done by Superior Auto Design in Pompano Beach, Florida, and comes replete with The Donald’s mug on the hood and a “YOU’RE FIRED” parting shot on the rear bumper.

LOOKS: Unlike the Lamborghini’s temporary wrap, the Bernie ‘Vette’s livery is comprised of real Sanders campaign stickers and paint on clear vinyl. It was done by Columbia art student Gene Leeds, who, coincidentally, is the stepson of car collector James Glickenhaus.

LOOKS: You have to admire the commitment it takes to cover a supercar in campaign bumper stickers.

ECONOMIC POLICY: The Aventador was painstakingly crafted in Lamborghini’s factory in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, where supercar-building knowhow has been passed down for generations.

ECONOMIC POLICY: The Bernie Sanders Corvette Z06 started life at GM’s facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where every Corvette has been built since 1981.

ECONOMIC POLICY: If you want to keep jobs in ‘Murica, then buy a damn Corvette.

PERFORMANCE: Nestled in a carbon-fiber chassis, the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12 produces 700-horsepower, which contributes to a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds and top speed of 217 mph.

PERFORMANCE: Like any self-respecting, American-built performance car, the Corvette Z06 is powered by a big V8. This supercharged lump produces 650 horsepower, making the Z06 good for 0-60 in 2.95 seconds and a top speed over 200 mph.

PERFORMANCE: The Bernie Corvette provides 99 percent of the performance of the Lamborghini for 20 percent of the price. FEEL THE BERN!

DEBATE PERFORMANCE: Both Bernie Sanders and the Chevrolet Corvette have been around forever. They’re both for the people, but unlike the Corvette’s incredible cost-performance ratio, Bernie’s proposals don’t always add up.

DEBATE PERFORMANCE: The Donald’s proposals don’t necessarily make a ton of sense either (Mexico doesn’t seem too keen on paying for that wall), but like the Aventador, he’s impossible to ignore and puts up some huge numbers.

DEBATE PERFORMANCE: In addition, Trump has apparently owned Lamborghinis in the past, while we imagine Sanders has a Prius in his garage back home in Vermont.
