I appreciate all the comments...helps make all the hours worth it!
I still have to put baseboards and crown moulding up, but that's going to wait for the tile and wood to be finished.

Any updated pics on the progress? I bought my first house two years ago and did some of the same stuff (refinished the cabinets, new hardware, countertops, sink, paint, took out a wall, etc.) and it was definitely worth it. Installing new light switches/plugs and faceplates through-out was one of the biggest improvements for the least amount of money I did. They are one of the big things I notice when I walk into a house. They give a home the detailed look IMO after remodeling/updating. Good luck and post some pics!

Progress has been slow lately. We're sifting through tile, wood, and carpet selections. We're also waiting on painters to come by for estimates on the kitchen cabinets.
Last weekend I got to dig a nice hole in the backyard to fix a leaking sprinkler valve. The hole ended up about 2 ft. deep and 3 ft. in diameter.
Hope to have some more updates in a week or two.The tooth fairy teaches children that they can sell body parts for money.
