During the Monaco Yacht Show in 2012, Mercedes-Benz showed the world a gorgeous concept of a yacht that would someday turn into a reality. While some concepts fall flat and others never make it to the production line, this Mercedes yacht defeated the odds by doing both.
Mercedes-Benz’s Style division recently invited some journalists from around the world to feast their eyes on the first completed model and she’s a stunner. The yacht was built and designed in collaboration with Silver Arrows Marine and this yacht is officially titled the Mercedes-Benz Arrow460-Granturismo. This yacht isn’t one-of-a-kind, but it’s significantly rare: only 10 units are to be produced, with only one boat per country!
The 14-meter (45.9 feet) long yacht is powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines, pumping out 480 horsepower each. This brings the cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of over 40 knots, depending on how heavy the load is.The large side windows and windscreen are meant to be retractable, meaning passengers can sit comfortably inside the yacht and still feel the ocean breeze kissing their face. The tables and beds are also extendable and are therefore available should you require them. The interior is meant to be tailored to the owner’s liking, making it truly unique and allowing for an endless list of modifications.
This sleek and sexy yacht can hold 10 passengers at a time and holds a host of first-class amenities inside. This includes a luxurious bathroom unit, a separate dressing room, air-conditioning system, high-quality audio system, a wine cellar and even an ice machine. While a price has not been officially released, early reports suggest that this Mercedes-Benz yacht may start at a base price of $1.7 million.
