    Default 787 comes to Daytona

Boeing is apparently doing some kind of tour with the 787, and today it stopped in Daytona Beach (KDAB). I know tours will be open to the public Monday from 10-2.

Sorry for the poor quality. I recorded it in HD, but it only uploaded in SD for some reason. Will work on it to see if I can fix that

I saw one in Houston for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was close to an A380, 747, and 777 so it was really cool to compare the size of them all. Cool plane for sure.

Here's one I just finished with an ATC overlay. As you can tell, it was kind of a big deal for Daytona lol

I do not like the 787 at general, I think that the Airbus A350 has a much better concept. It could be on my wishlist

How is it a better concept? They cover the same market gap. Midsize wide-body "eco" airliner.

Looks pretty cool but wouldn't dare fly on one with all the problems it's been having. How many times has it been grounded already!??

Just once by the FAA. This one came in after all the battery issues. We spoke to the engineers and they said they corrected the problem by pressurizing the battery compartment. I heard the news about the JAL 787 that was grounded but I haven't heard a confirmation that they updated to the pressurized compartment or not. That may still be a first-run aircraft that has not been upgraded.
