Feel free to PM if you have any questions regarding the Evo. I used to be a tech for San Rafael Mitsubishi in the SF Bay Area and I personally owned an '03 400+ awhp dailly driven Evo. I know these vehicles inside and out and can go on and on about these vehicles on what is reliable and what makes what. I would recommend that you steer clear of the MR edition as the 6spd is a pile when making power or wanting to do any sort of track days. Yes the MR has Bilstein shocks, BBS rims, different roof but in the end all these items get changed out 99% of the time minus the roof. Just to give you an idea I had a customer who had tracked his stock IX MR and got thru one lap at Thunder Hill as the 6spds really need a tranny cooler and are not as strongly built like the 5spd counter parts. In fact many people end up scrapping their 6spds in favor of swapping in the 5spd tranny's. Like I said please feel free to pm and I would be more than happy to steer you in the right direction.
